AWS is an independent School serving the families in Ghana and beyond. This brings a wonderful international experience and perspective to the school.
Our school is based on a firm foundation of values, and all students are encouraged to demonstrate empathy, ethical behavior, integrity, discipline, and service in all that they do. We offer a strong academic program that incorporates creative problem-solving, cooperation and group interaction, an appreciation of culture and beauty, as well as healthy emotional and physical growth. All of these facets are designed to help our students become well-rounded and better prepared for the rigors of life.
AWS is accredited by the Ghana Education Service and a Certified Cambridge International School whose programs are compatible with other curricula like the Montessori system. We however dare to say that we stand tall not for vaunting sake but for excellence sake. We, therefore, have combined the Common Core Curriculum and other resources to build a unique curriculum that reflects AWS’s values. While academic excellence is our focus, the integration of the arts, humanities, language learning, community service, and athletics are closely wound into the AWS experience.

AWS, seeks to provide a safe, positive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, to empower all students, to thrive and grow intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially so as to place a great value on honour and respect for others. We will do this by establishing and sustaining challenging expectations and forging supportive relationships among our students, staff, parents and communities.
